The truth hurts. WE all know that! I don’t appreciate you coming out with false statics because your black male ego is scarred. Yes, ya’ll business is laid plain on the table and bare! I was going to buy the dvd to your new film until I saw the trailor that said only “2% of black women contracted HIV from dl black men.” GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!! Who made you the new CDC. I’m not falling for it and I pray no other black women does as well. Why your out there trying to repair the black man’s busted ego, black women are dying!!! I’m looking for Mr. White and I pray all my sisters follow. I’ll never sleep with a black man again!!!

Actually, I only use data provided by the CDC and report it back just to put a little perspective on how disconnected some of our perceptions are from reality…As Ms. Melee put it so eloquently before her diatribe “The Truth Hurts”…from the CDC How Black Women are contracting AIDS.

Melee should not that “DL black men” is not the same as plain old “black men”. DL means gay/bi here.

What do you make of that hemophilia/coagulation disorder statistic? Are blood disorders that much more common in blacks? I mean…that would translate to what, something like 20 or 30 times the incidence in blacks than in whites, right?

If Melee never wants to sleep with a black man again, that’s her right but racial animosity should not be a factor in her decision. What should be addressed is that black women do not control the media, nor the information that attempts to tarnish the image of black men in this country. Therefore, there’s no reason to attempt to tarnish the image of black women any further. Not saying anyone here is as I have not read enough of this blog to come to that conclusion. Most black men may not be on the DL, but the fact remains that women usually get AIDS/HIV through hetero contact collectively. That is also shown to be the case when you break things down by each race. So the next time someone tells you that black men are responsible for spreading AIDS, you only need to remind them of two things:

a. the percentage of black men with AIDS is small, likely only single digits
b. women of ALL races get the disease primarily through hetero contact with the men of their race.

It’s that simple.
