I heard an interesting statistic on Andrew Wilkow talk show as I was passing through the McDonald’s (yep cause that’s how I roll) channel surfing SIRIUS and text messaging on my Q. In the background I swore I heard him say that if you make $35,000 a year, combine all the taxes you pay, 52% goes of your (emphasis on your?) income goes to the government. In other words if there are 20 work days in the month, you spend almost 11 working to pay for good old Uncle Sam. So when it comes to the top 3 democratic candidates, and they start up the okie-doke of raising taxes, I start to shake. Which brings me to the final perplexing thought of the day. In my heart I want Obama to win, because in this day and age there are some glass ceilings, and barriers still to be broken by our race, however some of his “politics of change” in clude raising taxes., universal healthcare, and additional entitlements as provided by the securities of governemnt. I hear DL hugley put it best a couple of weeks ago

I don’t trust the government to deliver my mail, so I damn sure don’t trust them with my healthcare

. So my question, does race supersede politics? I think I’ll wait til after the primaries to see if that’s an issue I’ll have to stress over come November.
