Michelle Obama mocked it herself, giving the other women on "The View" a black power fist-bump. The only reservation I have about this drawing is that some misguided souls that don't normally read the New Yorker will miss the irony/parody and feel validated in their ignorant stereotyping and bigotry. If that happens then yeah, I'd be ready to hurl too. I'll bet the artist had great intentions but may underestimate the ignorance of the american people.
